MEET THE TEAM

NOSIZWE MJI

Co-Founder

I envision a world in which all living beings are happy and free, and I am willing to work towards ensuring that my thoughts, words and deeds continuously contribute to that freedom.

As a facilitator, I support and empower people to heal their bodies, minds and communities. Healing is a conscious process that can be lived daily through changes in habits and patterns. Through the wellness hub I built with my sister,  The Toolbox,  I design and facilitate courses that give people the confidence and tools to self repair.

I have a social science degree in Politics and Philosophy and I am a qualified yoga teacher  and life coach because I am interested in human behaviour and what it takes for people to show up as their best in the world, that is make, a contribution that no one else can make but them

I teach yoga because it is a practice which facilitates self  liberation by freeing the body, breath and mind of constrictions and limitations. I believe we can reclaim our agency through practice, learn to honour our intuition through movement and release emotions through audible breath. My love for learning coupled with my desire to facilitate healing has me currently pursuing a diploma in Counselling and Communication at The South African School of Applied Psychology.

NOMZAMO MJI

CO-FOUNDER

We can co- create the world that we want to live in. It’s possible with radical imagination and strategic, deliberate action.  I’ve always sought to design my life rather than living by default. I am grateful for the privilege that has afforded me this choice. I have never believed that just because something is a certain way, that that is the way it has to be. I know and understand my power, in collaboration with my community and ancestry, to shape my inner and outer worlds.

This has been a guiding light for me fuelling an interest in holistic health, creative arts, social justice movements, entrepreneurship and education.

I entered legal practice because I believed that that was the best way for me to make a difference in the world.  I was always inspired by the idea of bridging the gap between what people have and what they are entitled to.  I saw constitutional law as a vehicle to social transformation. I learnt that what I wanted was justice and that there is a difference between law and justice.

I also learnt that how we practice our professions makes it incredibly difficult to maintain physical and emotional health. In the last few years of teaching and practicing yoga, it has become clearer to me that we have to find ways to grow and develop that do not sacrifice our wellbeing.

I have learned that when we do the inner work we have the capacity to do the outer work. I want to support people to do the inner work. This is why I love teaching yoga and holding space for people to feel, heal and deal.
